In short

This site presents the KrakenBot program and is the access point to private bot accounts. There is no advertising, no tracking and no third-party content: fonts, images and scripts come from our own server.

Server and logs

The site runs on its own server at a hosting provider in the EU. When it is accessed, the web server processes technically necessary data: IP address, time, requested address and browser identifier. This is necessary to deliver the site and detect attacks (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Web server logs are kept for at most 90 days.

Cookies and browser storage

After logging in or opening a demo account, a single cookie is set that identifies the session. It is technically necessary (§ 25(2) TDDDG) and is deleted when you log out or at the latest when the session expires. If you choose a language, a cookie stores that choice. Display settings such as light or dark mode are stored by the dashboard only in your browser.

Demo account

Anyone who opens a demo account gets their own bot with play money. So that every internet address gets its own demo account and misuse can be prevented, we store the IP address, the browser identifier, the times of visits and the number of page views and actions in the demo account (for example “backtest started”). The operator sees this data in an overview (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR – providing the demo and protection against misuse). Name or e-mail are not requested.

The demo account with all settings and trades is deleted 48 hours after the last visit. The entry in the overview is kept for another 30 days and then deleted as well.

Accounts with login

Accounts are by invitation only. We store user name, display name, a hash of the password (not the password itself), optionally the two-factor key, login times and IP addresses of logins (security log, at most 12 months) as well as the data of your own bot: settings, trades and the API keys you entered yourself (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

An account's bot connects to the Kraken crypto exchange with the keys stored by the account holder, optionally to Anthropic (AI review and strategy with Claude – what is transmitted is price data, key figures and the bot's settings, no Kraken keys, names or e-mail addresses) and to the chosen notification service (ntfy or Telegram). This only happens if the account holder sets it up. Demo accounts have none of these connections – demo bots only fetch public price data via the server.

Purchase, download and contact

Payment does not take place on this site but at the payment provider the “Buy now” button leads to. Their privacy notice applies there; the provider sends us the data needed for the purchase and invoice (for example name, e-mail and payment status – never card data) (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). For downloads via a download link we only count how often the file was fetched. If you contact us by e-mail or phone, we use your data only to answer your request.

License check

Every license key is valid for one device. For this, the purchased program (PC or server version) asks this server about every six hours whether the key is valid. Only the license key, an anonymous device ID (a hash value from which your computer's ID cannot be derived), the program type, the version and the name of the operating system are transmitted. Stored with the purchase are the device ID, the times of the first and last check, version and operating system, and the IDs of at most ten rejected devices (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR – license per device, and (f) – protection against passing on the key). If you release the license, the device ID is deleted.

Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). Please contact the address above. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).
