No. No program can predict prices. KrakenBot helps you trade by fixed rules and with limited risk – losses are still possible, up to the total loss of the money used. It is not investment advice.

No. You start the PC version with a double-click, an installer sets up the server version. You set everything else in the browser; a guided tour explains every area.

Easiest in the free demo account: with play money and real prices, plus a guided tour that takes you step by step through the overview, markets, chart, trades, settings, backtest and Time Machine. You can restart the tour from the menu at any time.

For everyone who wants to trade crypto by fixed rules instead of gut feeling – and wants to see beforehand what a strategy can do. You need an account with Kraken. Trading experience helps but isn't required: the demo, the tour and paper trading take you through it step by step.

Start with play money: paper trading costs nothing and shows how your settings perform. Go live only with money you can afford to lose – technically small amounts work, because Kraken allows small order sizes. The bot calculates the size of each trade from your risk per trade.

Profits from crypto trading can be taxable – how depends on your country and the type of trading (for example spot or futures). The bot exports all trades including fees as a CSV file for you or your tax adviser. It is no substitute for tax advice.

That depends on strategy, timeframe and market. It only trades when all conditions are met – sometimes several times a day, sometimes not for days. In the dashboard you can always see what each market is still missing.

With the PC version, yes: the bot only trades while the program is running – it can keep your PC awake if you like. Open positions stay protected anyway, because the stop-loss sits at Kraken. The server version runs around the clock without your own PC.

No. You create API keys at Kraken without withdrawal rights – with them the bot can only trade, but can't withdraw or transfer anything.

The stop-loss sits directly at Kraken, for futures the target too. So it also kicks in when the bot isn't running. After a restart the bot takes over open positions again.

The bot starts in watch mode, then paper trading with play money. It only trades live with real money after your explicit confirmation. You set the risk per trade, daily loss limit and drawdown brake yourself; you can adjust the stop and target of running trades by hand.

The software runs on your PC as long as it is switched on. The server version runs around the clock on your own rented server (VPS) and can be reached from anywhere via HTTPS – on PC and phone. The trading functions are the same in both.

Via the payment provider that “Buy now” leads to, for example by Mastercard. You only enter your card details there, never on this site.

After payment you get a personal download link – on the page after the purchase and by e-mail. For the server version you also download all updates through it as long as your subscription runs; an update is installed with one command.

Every purchase gets a license key – for the PC version and for the server version. It comes with the download link, and you enter it once: on the PC in the dashboard at the first start, on the server under “License”. The program checks it regularly; only the key, the version and an anonymous ID of the device are transmitted.

One license is valid for one device: the PC version for one PC, the server version for one server. You can still view and operate the bot from several devices – the server version in the browser from anywhere, the PC version also on your phone on your own Wi-Fi. For a second PC or server you need a second license.

You move it: in the old program click “Release” under Kraken account → License or – if the old PC no longer runs – on your personal download page. Then enter the key on the new PC. This works three times in twelve months, more often on request.

Once to activate, after that the program checks about every six hours. If our server is unreachable for a while, everything keeps running – the license stays valid for several weeks. The bot needs the internet for trading anyway, because it talks to Kraken.

Yes. Your personal download link always gives you the current version. To update, unpack it anew and copy your old “daten” folder into it – settings, keys, trades and license are kept.

At any time to the end of the current month via “Cancel contracts here” at the bottom of every page, by e-mail or in the payment provider's customer portal. The license stays valid until the end of the paid period.

Yes. You start the PC version with a double click: on Windows with START-Windows.bat (if Python is missing, it downloads a portable version once), on the Mac with START-Mac.command, on Linux with START-Linux.sh. Python 3.9 or newer is required. The server version runs on Ubuntu.

Kraken Spot and Kraken Futures (perpetuals), long and short – if you wish only the most traded markets or your own selection.

A small Linux server with Ubuntu (2 cores and 2–4 GB of RAM are enough) and your own domain. The installer sets up HTTPS with a Let's Encrypt certificate.

It is optional and runs with your own Claude API key. Depending on the model each check costs about one to a few cents; a daily budget limits the costs, and the usage is shown in the overview.

Claude looks at the chart of the last day or the last 3, 7 or 30 days – the market in the chart or the markets of your market list –, picks one of the bot's strategies and sets the timeframe, entry, filters and exit, every change with a reason. Claude never changes risk, leverage or markets. Before you ask, the bot counts the request for free and shows the cost – usually a few cents, depending on the model and period. Afterwards you see what the proposal really cost. You save the proposal as a strategy profile or apply it with one click – nothing changes without your confirmation.
